1. Information We Collect
Account Information When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We use this to create and secure your account.
Content You Provide The App lets you engage with features including a daily devotional practice, a confession/reflection space, a personal notebook, and selection of personal struggle categories. Anything you write, select, or submit within these features (including messages you send to the AI Faith Assistant) is stored in connection with your account so the App can function and so your history persists across sessions.
Usage Information We collect information about your activity within the App, such as your streak/grace status, which features you use, and general app interaction data, in order to operate core functionality like the streak system and your notebook.
Information We Do Not Collect We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos, or payment card details directly (payment is handled by Apple's in-app purchase system, and we do not receive or store your card information).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
Provide, maintain, and personalize the App's features (Daily Three, notebook, streak/grace tracking, titles)
Operate the AI Faith Assistant and generate responses to what you share with it
Maintain your account and allow you to sign in across sessions
Diagnose technical problems and keep the App secure
Communicate with you about your account, if needed
We do not sell your personal information.
3. The AI Faith Assistant and Confession Insight
The AI Faith Assistant and Confession Insight features use the Lovable AI Gateway, a third-party service that routes your message to an underlying AI language model in order to generate a response back to you within the App. When you use either feature, the content of your message (such as your prayer, reflection, or confession entry) is sent to this gateway for the sole purpose of generating that response.
We do not use your AI Faith Assistant or Confession Insight conversations to train our own models, and we require that any third-party AI infrastructure we use process this data solely to deliver the feature, consistent with their own privacy and data-use terms.
We recommend you avoid sharing highly sensitive personal identifying information (such as financial account numbers or government ID numbers) in your messages to these features, as with any AI chat feature.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the App:
Supabase (our database and backend infrastructure provider), which stores your account data and app content on our behalf
Apple, for authentication via Sign in with Apple and for processing App Store purchases
Lovable AI Gateway, which routes your message content to an underlying AI model solely to power the AI Faith Assistant and Confession Insight features, as described above
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties, and we do not share your data for third-party advertising purposes.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time directly within the App using the self-service delete option in Settings. When you delete your account, your account data and associated content (notebook entries, streak history, confession/reflection entries) are permanently deleted from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
If you have trouble using the in-app deletion option, you can also reach us at helloabideingrace@gmail.com to request deletion.
6. Analytics
At this time, we do not use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. If we introduce analytics in the future, it will be used only to understand aggregate app usage (such as which features are used and how often) in order to improve the App, and not to identify you individually or link your activity to advertising networks or data brokers. Any analytics tool we introduce will be configured to avoid using advertising identifiers for tracking purposes. We will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures before any such tool goes live.
7. Notifications
If you enable notifications, we use your device's push notification token to send you reminders, such as a daily prompt to complete your Daily Three. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app. Push tokens are used solely to deliver these notifications and are not shared with third parties beyond the notification service required to deliver them (such as Apple's push notification service).
8. Marketing Communications
We may use the email address associated with your account to send you marketing and promotional communications, such as reminders to return to the App, updates about new features, or offers related to your subscription. We will only do this in accordance with applicable law, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by using that link or by contacting us at helloabideingrace@gmail.com.
Opting out of marketing emails does not affect service-related messages we may still need to send you, such as account security notices or communications required to operate your subscription.
9. Widgets
If the App offers a home screen or lock screen widget, it displays information you have already provided within the App (such as a verse or your streak status) directly on your device. Widget content reflects data already covered by this Privacy Policy and does not involve any additional collection or sharing.
10. Sharing Content Outside the App
If the App lets you create and share images, verses, or progress moments (for example, to social media or messaging apps), any content you choose to share outside the App becomes subject to the privacy practices of the platform you shared it to. We are not responsible for how that third-party platform handles content once you've shared it.
11. Children's Privacy
Sanctify My Life is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at helloabideingrace@gmail.com and we will delete it.
12. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the App (via account deletion) or by contacting us at helloabideingrace@gmail.com.
13. GDPR (European Economic Area Residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you additional rights over your personal data, including the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request a copy of your data
Request that your data be corrected, updated, or deleted
Request that we restrict or limit how we use your data
Request that your data be moved to another provider (data portability)
We only collect the personal data described in Section 1 of this policy, for the purposes described in Section 2. We do not use your data for any purpose beyond operating the App's features.
Data Retention: We retain your account data and app content for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account using the in-app self-service option, your data is permanently deleted from our systems at that time, not retained afterward. If you contact us to request deletion instead, we will complete the deletion within 30 days.

14. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to:

Delete: Request that we delete the personal information we've collected about you, which you can also do directly in the App via the self-service delete option.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including those provided by our infrastructure provider Supabase, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers may store or process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer and processing.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
